National Science Day Celebration at ZPHS Quilashapur
National Science Day was celebrated at ZPHS Quilashapur on March 1, 2025. Although the event is traditionally observed on February 28—the day when Sir C.V. Raman discovered the Raman Effect—it was postponed to March 1 due to unavoidable circumstances.
Students from classes 6 to 10 actively participated in the Science Day celebrations. The event began with an essay writing competition on the topic "The Role of Science in India's Development." Many students showcased their understanding of how science has contributed to various sectors like agriculture, medicine, space research, and technology in India.
Following the essay competition, a Science Fair was organized, where students from classes 6 to 10 exhibited their innovative projects and models related to Biological Science, Physics, and Chemistry. The Science Fair was inaugurated by the Headmaster, Dr. B. Ravindar, in the presence of the school's science teachers, including:
- Venkateshwarlu Sir (Biological Science)
- M. Srinivas Reddy Sir (Physical Science)
- Panchakshari Sir (Biological Science)
- Prasanna Rani Madam (Physical Science)
With the guidance of their respective science teachers, students prepared and presented various exhibits, demonstrating scientific concepts and innovations. All students of the school visited the exhibits, interacting with the presenters and learning new scientific ideas. The enthusiasm of the participants and the curiosity of the visitors made the event highly engaging.
The Headmaster, Dr. B. Ravindar, appreciated the efforts of all science teachers and students for making the Science Fair a grand success. He encouraged students to develop a scientific temperament and apply their knowledge in real-life situations.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving students inspired and motivated to explore the wonders of science further.
